Welcome to Alderwood
Alderwood is a family-friendly neighbourhood in the west end of Toronto, within the larger area of Etobicoke. Named for the alder trees grown nearby, Alderwood is a well-established community dating back to the 1850s.
What it's like
While one section of Alderwood is designated for industrial use, residents also enjoy local access to schools, a Toronto Public Library branch, a childcare centre, and public pool.
The Neighbourhood
Primarily a residential neighbourhood, Alderwood is made up of single family homes built at the end of the Second World War and home to a diverse population.
Close to the Gardiner and Highway 427, public transit, groceries, parks and recreation. Adjacent to Etobicoke Creek and the Toronto Golf Club.
